Spectron has had a long-standing commitment to green markets, and is now a market leader in the brokering of European CO2 allowances (EUAs) – a market which is having a major impact on energy markets and prices, affecting producers, utilities and increasing numbers of manufacturers and consumers. Spectron’s consultative approach has been widely praised and has helped it to win several awards, including Energy Business magazine’s Gold Award for Excellence in Emerging Energy Markets.
Spectron offers spot and forward OTC trading of EUAs via its integrated electronic/phone broking system. OTC clearing is also available through various exchanges. Aside from EUAs Spectron is also actively involved in the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) and JI (Joint Implementation) markets, while its experienced team is ideally placed to inform and assist in the trading of green certificates, including UK ROCs and LECs.
